Of course Iceland is having a music festival at the foot of a waterfall

Don't go chasing waterfalls — unless it's the Skógafoss waterfall in Iceland. Iceland has gorgeous landscapes, adorable horses, and the most unique music festivals. First, it was Secret Solstice Festival — which takes place in a dormant volcano — and now there's a new line-up playing their tunes at the base of a famous waterfall. If you don't have plans for the weekend of July 14, 2017, start planning a trip to Skógafoss. English band The xx announce the natural wonder as the most recent location for their Day + Nite series.

As someone who has been to the location twice (and visiting a tourist attraction twice within a year's time is notable, people), I can say it's the perfect space to take in some music. The rushing water is just loud enough to mistake as ambient background noise, and Iceland's midnight sun means you can party late into the night and not even know it. If the teaser video is any indicator, The xx will be joined by Kasami Washington, Warpaint, Earl Sweatshirt, Robyn & Mr Tophat (DJ set), Jagwar Ma, Floating Points (DJ set), Sampha, Högni, Axel Boman & Robag Wruhme, Call Super, Bjarki, Marching Church, Avalon Emerson, Kelsey Lu, Orang Volante, Kria Brekkan, Gilles Peterson, Benji B, Hunee, Gangly, Mr Silla, and JFDR. Whew. The fun starts on July 14 and runs through July 16. Tickets are yet to go on sale, but check back to the Day + Night website on Friday, May 12 to get yours. And start tracking those flight tickets.
