The Mat Yoga Studio

"The energy at the studio was contagious ... new students that came to the studio during that time knew they wanted to be a part of our great community and are still with us today!"

Wanderlust Weekly: Congrats on the growth of The Mat! What kind of environment do you hope to provide for your clients? Samantha Martin: I hope that everyone who walks into the studio feels welcome. I see so many students become close friends and there's nothing better than hearing that they go out for breakfast on Saturday morning, make plans to get together on the weekends and are so excited to see each other each time they come to yoga!

Wanderlust Weekly: You've built a strong community following in Dallas, what are some of your proudest moments? Samantha Martin: I would have to say it was our BINGO challenge last summer. The energy at the studio was absolutely contagious and we had the best month of our year in July, when it's typically a slow month in the fitness industry. The new students that came to the studio during that time knew they wanted to be a part of our great community and are still with us today!

Wanderlust Weekly: We wish you continued success in 2017, what upcoming news or developments can we look forward to? Samantha Martin: We have a lot of exciting events coming up this year. Therapeutic Training with Ross Rayburn, Yoga Tune Up® Breath and Bliss orkshop, Mantras & Malas (where students will learn some mantras and make their own malas!), and Embody Love Movement Training. We offer a 200 hour yoga teacher training and will be re-launching our 300 hour in 2018.  [ learn more ]
